How do you prefer for customers to contact you?
How long have you been in business?
5 years
How did you get started?
I was a teacher when I began using Usborne Books & More books to spread literacy outside the classroom. My company also has excellent programs to raise extra funds and a matching grant for  books that stretches funds by 50%.
What kind of products/services do you offer?
We offer beautiful and engaging books & other learning materials for children of all ages. Our award winning books are loved by parents, teachers, and most importantly the kids!
What’s your favorite product/service that you offer?
Our Shine-a-Light series of 20 books reveal hidden pictures when a flashlight or other light is shown from behind the page. Offering a variety of nonfiction topics, children love the surprises they make happen! Lots of learning happening!
What’s one thing that your customers might not know about you personally–or about your product/service?
After teaching in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 3rd grade for 33 years, I retired in 2018. I love the flexibility I have now to visit grandchildren, while still pursuing my passion of getting kids excited about reading!
What do you enjoy about being a vendor at the Downtown Farmers Curb Market?
I love our vendor community! We really have each other’s back & enjoy the time we share on Saturday mornings. I also love the opportunity of having my husband there to promote literacy with me. I often meet people at the market who connect me with others who help me get books to children who need them!
What is one thing that you plan to do in the future–in other words, what are your goals/dreams for your business?
I would like to continue at the market, and increase awareness of our excellent products and programs. I am working on building a team of other book ladies who can share the market opportunity with me!
