How did you get started?
Turned my love of plants into a design/plant business, nursery and garden shop and now participate in regional markets and bona-fide plant show venues around the state.
What kind of products/services do you offer?
Our focus is presenting locally grow, unusual succulent plants, unusual Tillandsia air plants, unusual bromeliad species and a contemporary line of rustic terra cotta pottery. We design, plant and maintain landscape gardens from Lakeland to Lake Wales, our home base. We create fantastic succulent plant arrangements/composition pots. We collect, grow and sell the plants we bring to market.
What’s your favorite product/service that you offer?
My favoriet would be the large and showy specimen succulent plants such as ‘Medusa’s Head’ a specimen plant that as it grows, has an appearance of a head full of snakes!
What’s one thing that your customers might not know about you personally–or about your product/service?
I worked as a chef at the White House in the 90’s.
What do you enjoy about being a vendor at the Downtown Farmers Curb Market?
The parade of local patrons, the weekly customers that stop to talk. The flow of younger people and families. The forum for me to educate, inform. and delight the clientele who shop unusual succulent plants.
What is one thing that you plan to do in the future–in other words, what are your goals/dreams for your business?
Create a Forest Bathing AirBNB Botanical Garden at my homestead in Lake Wales.
