Is it free to come to the Market?
Yes.

Does the Market close on rainy Saturdays?
Rain does not close the Market. Vendors make their own decisions based on weather and how it affects their products. Most farmers still set up on rainy Saturdays, but many of the artisan vendors do not.

What do I do if severe weather threatens the Market?
The management team monitors weather conditions and may make a public announcement if severe weather threatens. Seek appropriate shelter if necessary. Please be aware of blowing items and lightning during stormy conditions and do not expose yourself to unnecessary risk at the Market.

If the Market falls on a holiday, is it closed?
Yes. The Market is closed when Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a Saturday. July 4th will depend on the number of Vendors who would like to participate. Please check the web site or Facebook for announcements.

How do I know which Vendors will be at the Market?
The Market sends a weekly email with that week’s map of vendors and product special. To join the email list click HERE.  Most Vendors are full time, however predicting which Vendors will be at any given Saturday is difficult. Vendors make their own decisions based on weather, product availability, workload, and more; these are sometimes last-minute decisions. If you are interested in a specific Vendor, you may be better off contacting that business directly with your question. Use the Market’s vendor listings pages for those vendors who choose to submit their information.

How do I get to the Market?
The Market is located in the heart of Downtown Lakeland. Using a GPS, use the address of 200 N. Kentucky Ave to get directions to the Market.

Do you carry items other than produce?
Yes. The Market has art, woodwork, jewelry, plants, ready to eat foods and more.

How many Vendors participate in the Market each Saturday?
The number of Vendors varies, but the Market typically has between 70-100 Vendors on any given Saturday. See vendors by category HERE.

How do I contact a Vendor directly?
Current Vendors are listed on this site and should have contact information on its page. You can search by the Vendor’s name, category or product to help you find the Vendor you are looking for.

How is the Market supported?
The Market is a product of the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority and is financially self sustaining.

Can I smoke at the Market?
The Market in an open air market in the city streets of Downtown Lakeland. Smoking is not prohibited on city streets, but we prefer that folks step outside the footprint of the Market to smoke.

Do you have a lost & found?
The lost and found is located at the SNAP/EBT booth at the Market near 117 N. Kentucky Ave.

Are sales taxes collected at the Market?
It is the individual Vendor’s responsibility to collect sales tax. Vendors may include the tax in the listed price, remitting the relevant amount afterward, or may add the tax to each transaction at Market.

Can I use credit/debit cards or EBT cards at the Market?
Many Vendors accept credit cards, but not all. The Market accepts SNAP/EBT at the SNAP/EBT booth and converts the SNAP credit into tokens. Identified Vendors accept these tokens the same as cash, though by law SNAP/EBT tokens cannot be given change. There are many banks located within walking distance of the Market with ATMs. There is a bank fee for swiping a credit or debit card, as in most ATMs. The tokens do not have an expiration date; they may be used from year to year.
